Did you know that the AFGE Law Enforcement Committee and the AFGE National lobbying team is working with members of Congress to pass the Law Enforcement Officers Equity Act (H.R. 962)? This bill, if enacted, would ensure that all federal law enforcement officers receive the retirement benefits they proudly earned protecting and serving the American public. It provides federal law enforcement officers the ability to retire after 20 years of service at the age of 50, or after 25 years of service at any age. But that’s not all it does.
